One summer night in 2006 I bet Stephanie Mattina not one, but two million dollars that someday she would become my wife. Our future together was more than uncertain – we were both young and emotional and reckless and you know the rest… – but I swear, few other times in life have I ever felt more confident.

It wasn’t just that easy, though. I’ve learned from a few wise men that it never is. You work hardest for the things you love most. It sounds practical enough, but the real challenge is turning that into a reality. Every day, better or worse, rain or shine, rich or poor, through ups, downs and every way else we can only begin to imagine. For the rest of our lives. The ultimate test of love and strength. I’ve never met anyone stronger.

In the six summers since that night, we have been near and far, together and apart. We’ve traveled great lengths and called many apartments and houses home. We even found a friend for Bootsie along the way.

We’re only just getting started.

On Sunday, September 2nd, we hope you will personally join us as we write the next chapter together.

With love, S & C
